e4usa Classroom Helps Student with Disabilities Return to Class!

student helps

e4usa teacher Michael Piccione and his students at Chantilly Academy (VA) worked together with the students in their Physical and Occupational Therapy (PT/OT) classroom to create a mobile, adjustable, and customizable medical bed. The bed will allow a local eight grade student, Liam Bruen, to return to school rather than continue receiving their current homebound instruction. Great work to this e4usa classroom!

In the above photo, Stella Stakolosa scores with an adaptive lacrosse stick engineered by College Park Academy e4usa students under the guidance of teacher Brendan McCarthy (left).

"Brendan McCarthy’s class at College Park Academy is a shining example of how e4usa fosters inclusive design and practical problem-solving. The project not only provided a tangible solution for Stella but also instilled in the students a sense of purpose and accomplishment."

e4usa Teacher Receives Excite Award from Lemelson-MIT Program

e4usa Teacher Carsten Bisner at DC International School (DC) recently won an Excite Award for a project created with their e4usa class. The project was a Wind turbine/Solar to charge electric vehicles (or any other EV like Bikes or Scooters). Bisner will be using the award and professional development at MIT to help finalize the prototype! Congrats to Carsten Bisner and his classroom!
