Arren Buck
Arren Buck studied Mechanical Engineering at Boston University, but being the son of two educators got pulled into teaching. He went on to get a Masters in Education from the University of New Mexico and has been teaching ever since. He taught math and science for the first part of his career. He really enjoys getting to work with students and to show them the beauty and intricacies that exist in the world. He had the opportunity to create an engineering program at his alma mater in Albuquerque and he has had the pleasure of developing the program since 2015. Currently, the program serves students from grades 6 thru grade 12 and has really grown to give students the experiences and opportunities to explore engineering and to see if they want to pursue it in the future.
Partnering with e4usa was an easy choice for me as it gave a great framework while still allowing for some freedom. I have really enjoyed creating new projects and incorporating the ideals of e4usa. The program has grown so much and it has been a real pleasure to be part of that expansion and to continue the growth of K-12 engineering education. e4usa also provided me with colleagues that were teaching engineering. I was the only teacher teaching engineering at my school and e4usa provided a sounding board for my ideas and for resources.
