Jennifer Kouo
Dr. Kouo supports yearlong teacher professional learning and a robust community of practice at Engineering for US All (e4usa). She believes in the power of teacher professional development to remove barriers and increase meaningful inclusion in engineering education. She also engages in multiple research projects that involve transdisciplinary collaborations in the field of engineering, medicine, and technology, and serves as the PI of NSF’s Eddie Bernice Johnson Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (INCLUDES) Initiative Design & Development Launch Pilots (DDLPs): Engineering Community Inclusion of Individuals with Autism (ECIIA) Project.
Dr. Kouo holds a B.S. in Integrated Elementary and Special Education from Towson University, an M.S. in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. in Special Education with an emphasis in severe disabilities and autism spectrum disorders from the University of Maryland, College Park.
