Honoring a Legend: The Leigh Abts Legacy in Engineering Education Scholarship

Earlier this summer, we lost Dr. Leigh Abts, a founding visionary of e4usa and a lifelong champion for opening doors to engineering education for all students. To honor his legacy, we’ve established the Leigh Abts Legacy in Engineering Education Scholarship, which will support future educators committed to carrying forward his passion and dedication. You can read more about Dr. Abts’ lasting impact and this special tribute below.

e4usa Awarded PTC Impact Grant

We’re excited to share that e4usa has been selected as one of PTC’s FY25 Impact Grant recipients! Thanks to the support of PTC and the PTC Foundation, we’ll continue empowering high school students and teachers through hands-on, yearlong engineering courses that connect classroom learning to real-world problem solving. Many of our partner schools use Onshape, PTC’s cloud-based CAD tool, as part of our e4usa+Making course, which also gives students the chance to earn an industry-recognized credential in CAD.

We are grateful for the dedication you bring to your classrooms, campuses, and communities, and we are excited to continue this journey with you. Together, we look forward to another year of partnership, innovation, and impact as we launch into the 2025–2026 academic year.

Shout-Out to Dr. Joseph Bostic

We’re thrilled to celebrate Dr. Joseph Bostic, one of our outstanding e4usa teachers, on his new role as Principal at Wootton High School in Maryland, an e4usa partner school. We’re so excited to see him rise through the administrative ranks—he’s an incredible leader who will do amazing things for the Wootton community!
