e4usa Students in Ghana Visit Local Drone and Water Treatment Centers!
This past June, e4usa students and teacher Mr. Yidana Zulchieful at Kpasenkpe STEM SHS visited both the Zipline Center in Vobsi, Ghana and the Tono Water Treatment Center in Navrongo, Ghana! This gave students the opportunity to see two local centers in action. e4usa is grateful for its community partners!
At the Zipline Center in Vobsi, the students were taken through their operations and able to see how drones delivered medical products to the community. Some of the students even had the opportunity to launch a drone!
At the water treatment center in Navrongo, the students were taken through the process of water treatment. The officials took the students from natural sedimentation through the intake of water from the dam to their operation center where they do the actual treatment. At the operation center, they took students through where they receive the water from the dam and the various processes of water treatment up to the point of distribution.
Mr. Kennedy Asumadu, Mr. Yidana Abass, and Madam Grace Akugri from the Zipline Center also visited Kpasenkpe STEM SHS in mid-May. They were able to meet with the school management represented by: Mr. Amadu Mamudu Timbila, Headmaster, Mr. Nsor Atindana Emmanuel, Assistant Headmaster (Administration), Mr. Azure Paul, Assistant Headmaster (Academic), Mr. Yaro Wanze Patrick, Assistant Headmaster (Domestic), and Mr. Zul-chieful Yidana, e4usa champion.

Why would you encourage more schools to get involved with e4usa?
"I would encourage more schools to get involved with e4usa because it opens up significant opportunities for both teachers and students. While the demand for engineers at both the state and national levels is undeniable, the main goal of e4usa is to provide access to engineering education. By joining e4usa, schools enable their students to explore the impact of engineering on society and develop professional skills that will benefit them in their future careers."
What has been your favorite e4usa project to see students participate in? Why?
"One of my favorite projects was undertaken by students from Sandia Prep in New Mexico. They designed and built a special tricycle for a preschooler with a disability. What stood out to me was the way the teacher and students engaged deeply with the child and their family to understand their needs from multiple perspectives, rather than assuming what was needed. The level of innovation and the tangible impact they made were truly inspiring. It showcased how engineering can directly improve lives and demonstrated the value of empathy and creativity in problem-solving."
e4usa Shines at ASEE 2024!
Portland, OR — e4usa made a significant impact at the ASEE 2024 Annual Conference, held from June 22 to June 26. e4usa’s booth, located in a prime position at the front of the exhibit hall, saw a constant stream of visitors excited to engage with our team. This strategic placement was made possible thanks to the support of the Clark School of Engineering.
The ASEE 2024 Annual Conference was a resounding success for e4usa, reinforcing its mission to make engineering accessible and inclusive for all!
