Thank You for an Incredible Year — Let’s Build What’s Next!
Dear e4usa Community,
As we wrap up another academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what you, our teachers, administrators, partners, and supporters, have made possible.
This year has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Together, we reached 4,338 students this year, bringing our total to over 15,000 students impacted all time. We now span 25 states, with 156 teachers trained and 31 universities offering credit or in the Prospectus, including 4 new institutions added this year alone.
These numbers are important, but what they represent matters even more.
They represent classrooms where students discovered that engineering is not about having the “right” answer, but about growth, curiosity, iteration, and confidence. They represent teachers who created spaces where students who once didn’t know about engineering, or didn’t think they belonged in it, now see themselves as engineers. And they represent a growing movement grounded not in kits or quick demonstrations, but in meaningful, sustained problem-solving that proves engineering truly is for us all.
Behind the scenes, your impact has also fueled meaningful growth in the tools and systems that support this work. This year alone, our team and community:
Invested 275 hours developing a new exam
Supported 614 exam submissions and 197 student portfolios
Rebuilt 124 components and developed 36,000+ lines of code to launch the new MyDesign® platform
Expanded the e4usa Hub to 127 members, strengthening our year-round community of practice
This kind of progress doesn’t happen without a committed community. It happens because of your feedback, your willingness to try something new, and your dedication to your students.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate many of our wonderful teachers through our Excellence 4 Us All Awards, recognizing outstanding teaching, collaboration, innovation, and commitment to student success. These stories remind us that the heart of e4usa is not just in the curriculum, but in the people who bring it to life every day.
And while we are proud of what we’ve accomplished, we are even more excited about what’s ahead.
Looking forward to 2026–2027, we are continuing to build with you in mind:
Expanded summer professional development opportunities, including new mini-PDs shaped directly by teacher feedback - like AI in e4usa
Continued efforts to support teacher participation in professional development through scholarships and grant opportunities
Continued growth of the e4usa Hub as a space for connection, support, and shared learning
Ongoing curriculum updates and new opportunities to strengthen classroom experiences
As you close out your school year, I encourage you to take pride in the impact you’ve made. Across classrooms, campuses, and partnerships, this community, including teachers, administrators, university partners, liaisons, and friends of the program, is shaping not just future engineers but future problem-solvers, leaders, and innovators.
Thank you for your partnership, your passion, and your belief in this work.
We are grateful to be building this movement alongside you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stacy Klein-Gardner

Summer Fun: Welcoming Educators and Expanding the e4usa Community
Summer is one of our favorite times of year at e4usa, and for good reason. Throughout June and July, we are excited to welcome a new group of teachers into our Professional Development (PD) while also reconnecting with our returning educators. The energy, ideas, and sense of community that come with this season always set the stage for an impactful year ahead.
We are also on the road, sharing that excitement at the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition.
Join us for our session, “Engineering for US All (e4usa™): Bringing High School Engineering to Your Community,” on Tuesday, June 23, from 9:15 to 10:45 AM in W-205b at the Convention Center. We will also be presenting during the NSF Grantees Poster Session on Wednesday, June 24, from 9:45 to 11:15 AM, featuring our poster, “NSF EEC Strengthening Engineering Education for Tomorrow’s Workforce: Scaling a National Model through Curriculum, Credit, and Community.”
In addition, we are leading a hands-on workshop at the ASEE P-12 Teacher Conference at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where educators will experience e4usa’s design-based approach and walk away with classroom-ready strategies. We will also be connecting with educators and partners at the ICGS Conference and the National Academy Foundation (NAF), continuing to grow the e4usa community and momentum nationwide.
It is a full and exciting summer, and we are just getting started.
