Nervited and Ready to Go: My First Taste of e4usa’s “Secret Sauce”
After more than two years of presenting, writing, and advocating for e4usa, Andrew Green decided it was time to experience +Making Professional Development as a participant. He entered the week feeling “nervited” and excited to experience firsthand why e4usa’s professional learning is often described as the program’s “secret sauce.” From building a robotic arm with his eight-year-old son and reverse-engineering an electric shaver to creating his first CAD prototype, Andrew experienced the curriculum from a completely new perspective. He left impressed by the expertise and patience of facilitators Jenny Kouo, Marla Rudnick, and Christine Zito, energized by the new teacher cohort, and more excited than ever about the academic year ahead.
Professional Learning in Full Swing
July has been a busy, and exciting, month for the e4usa community! We officially wrapped up professional development for our returning teachers, with sessions covering everything from CAD and MyDesign® to experimental skills, project management, community partnerships, and responsible uses of AI. Educators left with practical, classroom-ready strategies for another year of engineering learning.
Our newest e4usa teachers are also approaching the finish line, with just one final week of July professional learning remaining. We can’t wait to see how they bring hands-on design, real-world problem-solving, and community-centered engineering into their classrooms.
The new school year is almost here, and so is something else! We teased new ways to connect with e4usa last month, and the big social media reveal is coming soon. Stay tuned!
From Conference Conversations to New Partnerships
The NAF Conference delivered! We met outstanding educators and school leaders, exchanged ideas, and built connections that are already creating new opportunities.
After meeting at the conference, e4usa’s first Mississippi school partner joined us for professional development last week. That’s conference momentum in action!
We also hosted Engineering for US All (e4usa): Building Scalable Career Pathways, a workshop exploring how e4usa supports scalable CTE pathways through hands-on engineering, real-world problem-solving, and workforce-aligned learning.
We love and appreciate our NAF partners, and we’re excited to see where these new connections lead!
