Kenneth Reid is the Associate Dean and Director of Engineering at the R. B. Annis School of Engineering at the University of Indianapolis. He was awarded an IEEE-USA Professional Achievement Award (2013) for designing the first B.S. degree in Engineering Education. He has served as lead of the curriculum development team on the Engineering for US All (e4usa.org) project to demystify and democratize engineering “for us all”. He is a co-lead in the development of “e4usa+programming”, introducing programing with an authentic focus on engineering. He is active in engineering within K-12, serving on the Technology Student Association Board of Directors. He has coauthored multiple texts in Engineering, Mathematics and Digital Electronics including the recently released “Introduction to Engineering”.  He and his coauthors were awarded the Wickenden award (Journal of Engineering Education, 2014) and Best Paper award in the Educational Research and Methods Division (ASEE, 2014).  He earned his B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and PhD in Engineering Education from Purdue. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, serves on the Board of Governors of the IEEE Education Society, serves on the Board of Directors of Solid Rock International, and is a Member of Tau Beta Pi.
